Title:
It frequently takes a while (a few minutes) for nm indicator to show
  networks

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This happens on both my (uptodate precise) laptops, though not every
time. When I start the laptop and log in, I'm connected to my access
point, but clicking over the indicator doesn't show the current or
available networks. I'm attaching a screenshot.
