As I recall these were removed from 1.5.1 because of TUSCANY-3165.
This problem appears to be fixed in OpenEJB 3.0.2-SNAPSHOT (see [1]),
and the OpenEJB folks have indicated their willingness to produce a
3.0.2 release if we need it (see [2]).

As we are planning to release the travel sample as an add-on to 1.6
(see [3]), we need to make sure that all the necessary dependencies are
included in the 1.6 binary distro. I have opened TUSCANY-3437 to
track this issue.

Just as a reminder - we're also doing this release for a user who
needs it and we promised we'd get it out by this month.

If there isn't time to get an Open EJB-3.0.2 release, perhaps we could
use OpenEJB 3.0.2-SNAPSHOT for 1.6. If/when there is an OpenEJB 3.0.2
release, we could do a new Tuscany release (1.6.1?) based on that.

I understand that snapshot dependencies aren't usually a good thing,
but in this case there are unlikely to be further snapshot releases
of OpenEJB 3.0.2 so the risk seems very low.

Does OpenEJB 3.1.2 [1] have the required fix ? If so, would it be hard
to migrate to use it ?

OpenEJB 3.1.2 does have the fix. However, previous testing of this
option has shown that 3.1.2 is not a "drop in" replacement for 3.0.1 and
3.0.2-SNAPSHOT. Moving up to 3.1.2 would require some work in Tuscany
and/or updating levels of other dependencies, and I don't have the
expertise in this area to know exactly what is needed.
