+1, this weekend at the Warsaw App Workshop we couldn't really get geolocation to work, as it seemed like on the KEONs (on every tested build, including latest Nightly from GeeksPhone) it was only using pure, GPS-based geolocation which is quite useless for any real-world scenario (doesn't work indoors, and needs long minutes to establish a location without network assist).
Now AFAIK aGPS is an up and coming feature, which will improve on the situation, but as Alfredos here, I too, were unable to find any information on alternate providers (wi-fi, carrier/cell-based). It would be nice to know how B2G stands on these issues as a whole lot of location-based apps must use fast and reliable location fetching methods, acquiring lock as fast and precise as possible. _______________________________________________ dev-b2g mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-b2g
