This discussion flares up every time a sufficient number of people burn their 
fingers with new Firefox OS phones. And every time Mozilla people on the list 
sympathize but can't quite help or explain.
I see 3 issues here, first, no Android phone comes rooted and no one complains, 
why Firefox OS users do? Someone must encourage them to believe that they 
should play with their devices.
Second, Mozilla always claimed that they provide just the OS and have no say in 
what hardware is marketed therefore no responsibility for the state of the 
devices (rooted or not). 
The third one is that Mozilla is a PARTNER in this so blaming ZTE, LG, Alcatel 
and such for not providing upgrades or the possibility for users to do it 
themselves is blaming only half of the culprits.
