My Flame does not want to take production build 2.2:

Before attempting to flash, I installed base image v188. I repeated
the entire process several times, with the Recovery Cable, and with a
normal USB cable.
*Am I doing something wrong, i.e. should it work? Or is production
build 2.2 flawed? Sth. else?*

Does this happen everytime you try to update Gecko and Gaia after
updating the firmware? Shallow flashing Gecko+Gaia got stuck 4-5 times
for me in the last 4 months, and required reflashing the base image and
then successfully updating Gecko and Gaia. |adb devices| still lists the
device when it hangs during flashing, but the device became unresponsive
and the battery has to be removed to reboot it.
