(disclosure: I work for Software Freedom Conservancy) Firefox OS includes the kernel named Linux so at least that part is released under the GPL. A number of its developers have agreed to enforce their copyrights through one of Software Freedom Conservancy's member projects, the GPL Compliance Project for Linux Developers, mentioned at https://sfconservancy.org/members/current/ . You can send Conservancy a report if you believe the GPL is being violated in the kernel named Linux (or in BusyBox or Samba) by writing to [email protected] . Please include details such as how you obtained the device containing GPLed code, the materials you checked to determine an offer for source was not included, and what correspondence you've had with the manufacturer so far. Let me know if you have any questions about this. I'd be happy to help.
