Hi Lamis,

I do really sympathise with you.

At JBoss Community (www.jboss.org), for instance, it took us more than
1.5 year from the decision to completely finish the migration from our
previous system to Magnolia. .
Yea, J.C sadly I live in a Country were people are extremely underpaid and
overworked. And my Boss believe that everything he wants must be easy as long
as he pay us!! But honestly I'm not learning Magnolia only, for my boss or his
company. But for the sake of me , since I'm hoping to travel and find a better
job . so that's why I'm spending my weekends learning the basics so I get grip
of the language
Great to see everyone's replies here ! I hope Lamis sticks around and
makes it through the migration :)

Yes I will make it, I'm more stubborn than you think! but about the
http://quercus.caucho.com , I dont think thats what I need currently since we
don't have large amount of data..What we want more is the functionality...
Luckily, our sites ""is kinda"" not so complicated we have "Gallery, News,
Videos, Some XML processing" But what I've been really confused about is
queries, in PHP to get a news node I would do something like this "Select *
from news where id=44" , I know Magnolia use JCR but this doesnt seem
leading..I've taken a look at the database and most of the data are not very
clear to know how to make the select.

I'm also listening to Will advice, I'm learning the basic so I've started from
here http://eclipsetutorial.sourceforge.net/index.html . I know some Java from
university so I know the basics . I just need to know how to put them in real
life.

Thank you so much people , you really are the best .. And hopefully I will keep
you updated :)
