Hi Greg, I agree with Will on this.
Quercus looks quite cool. I think Quercus could play a role in Magnolia as an alternate “templating language” – Magnolia could support JSP, Freemarker and PHP in addition. This might make the integration of some existing designs, webforms and simple applications into magnolia easier. It might also allow some templaters and designers to leverage existing PHP knowledge when working with magnolia. (As an aside, I think including javascript as an alternate templating language would also be a cool feature!) However, I don’t think Quercus will be much help migrating existing sites. When moving from e.g. Wordpress, Drupal or Typo3 to magnolia, the parts you want to move are not expressed in PHP – they’re content, templates or graphics. The PHP parts are the Wordpress application code – and you don’t need that anymore, that’s what you’re trying to replace with Magnolia.
