We should put the focus on features that Web Apps really needs. Color system and input selection and others are used only by platform dependent system Apps. I don't think we should standardize these features as WebAPIs. For Web Apps only care about how to get programme, select channel, retrieve the info of current channel, ..., and other common used features.
