The RAM is possibly the driving factor here - depending on how much we want to spend... 250k/box is the hard limit we've bumped into the EC2 platform, but to make sure we can even reach that number, we'd need to test that with the real app stack to see how much memory overhead it adds for every connection. (4k ? 10k ? 20k ?) Bottom line is: we need to test that with a Loop stack > This seems to be a lot of servers (for 500M users). It seems unrealistic to consider that 500M users will use Loop imho.
