I want to thank Mozilla for producing this. It's never easy to summarize, 
formalize, and enumerate what boils down to values.

I'm happy to see a stark stance on any surveillance activity. Different people 
with different values and from different cultures will disagree on who are the 
people that are ok to surveil: maybe you think surveilling police targets is 
good, maybe you think surveilling the police is good; maybe you think children 
must be protected from the Internet, maybe you think children have a right to 
privacy. The WebPKI serves everyone, and its universal trust requirements are 
simply incompatible with entities involved in any kind of monitoring or 
surveillance of people, regardless of how socially necessary or positive it 
might be considered.
