You continue with the mistake to withheld *INFORMATION*. This exactly why users today have no clue about SSL enabled sites whatsoever! The lack of accessible information produced a lack of knowledge! I think it's a good idea not because IE does it (Opera does it as well)
Just for your knowledge, but Opera provides this information at *all* levels for *all* certificates the same (as a browser is supposed to do)! They might paint the address bar green or whatever for EV at some point, but they do their job excellent! When using the Opera browser on a secured site, the address bar areas gets filled with the organization name, there is a tool tip and a one click action opening a window with the most important information. Within this window there are even more options...just look at it! I do have something like this in mind when talking about improving the UI in relation to digital certification, just a little bit better...but since I promised to shut up and wait for the UI team to put a proposal forward...I shut up now ;-)
