Responding in regards to what you originally said and not to have too

On first glance, my read was that you were toying with Tony by saying
that there may or may not be such a specification and that you were
withholding the answer (or did not know the answer), else were simply
trying to rub his funnybone.

(funnybone comment here again).
Boris read it the same as my rephrased interpretation:
"There is not _necessarily_ such a specification."
If this is true, then there may not be such a specification, in which
case it follows that such a specification then is not necessary.
Also, based on _not necessarily_ also meaning _not of necessity_ it
rephrases to:
There is not a necessity to have such a specification.
Such a specification is not a necessity.
Such a specification is not necessary.
I therefore said, and maintain, that you _insinuated_ (implied) that
"there is no such specification necessary".

My initial browsing there shows many regulars from c.i.w.a.h. and
