Uh... that's not what Christian said. He was merely pointing out that the
question "where is the specification that defines X?" presumes that there is
such a thing. In this case there isn't one.
If this is true, then there may not be such a specification, in which
case it follows that such a specification then is not necessary.
That's a logical fallacy, sorry. Just because there isn't a spec for something
doesn't mean the spec is not _necessary_. It just means there isn't one.
Generally if there isn't one and it's necessary people get together and create one.
Also, based on _not necessarily_ also meaning _not of necessity_ it
rephrases to:
There is not a necessity to have such a specification.
Such a specification is not a necessity.
Such a specification is not necessary.
Sorry, that's false. That's not what the word "necessarily" means in English at
all.
