I will be happy to continue trying to reproduce the various problems as
described (now in detail) within the jira ticket. I vote however to get this
merged in as I am confident these changes solve the issues. @keith-turner is
correct in that I cannot guarentee that this solves all multi-threading issues
related to source deep copies. For example @phrocker suggested that there are
more issues when using the encryption stuff, however that is I believe only
experimental currently.
