I'm not clear if they are actually unused or not. It would probably be
good to understand how they come to exist regardless, so it doesnt
keep happening. The content looks a little different than the related
'regular' javadoc files, but with headers stamped within seconds, so
they were presumably generated in the same run. From looking at the
svn + git repo history it seems like Martyn added the 1.3.0 files
directly, and Christopher added the 2.7.0 ones into the latest dir
following 2.7.0, with Clebert subsequently 're-adding' them in the
2.7.0 dir while replacing the latest dir content during 2.8.0.
