I think it's a good idea. From what I see it's describe but very vaguely: "The client versioning is independent of the Airflow versioning.". But there is more in the Airflow release docs: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/35628 - is the last change from Pierre about it - so maybe moving this documentation to client release notes from Airlfow release notes and linking to that might be a good idea (this is likely you missed it).
