Hi everyone! *Weโre excited to invite you to the Apache Airflow Birthday Party in Seoul! ๐๐ฅณ*
*Why October 7?* October 7 marks the day of Airflowโs first official commit! The beginning of what would eventually grow into the project and community we know today. Fun fact: it wasnโt even called Airflow yet โ the project was still named *Flux*! ๐ In Korea, parents often give their baby a temporary nickname before birth, called a *taemyeong* (ํ๋ช ), before the baby gets their actual name. So, in a way, you could say *Flux was Airflowโs **taemyeong*. ๐ This year, the Apache Airflow Korea User Group is joining the celebration from Korea to celebrate this special day together ๐ This event will be a little different from our usual meetups. Rather than focusing mainly on technical talks, weโll look back at how Airflow started and grew into the project and community it is today, share the story of how the Airflow community in Korea came together, and hear messages from people who have helped build Airflow along the way.
