Hi everyone!

We celebrated Apache Airflow's birthday with the Korean Airflow community
last week! ๐ŸŽ‰

This celebration was especially meaningful to us, as it was also an
opportunity to thank the people who have supported and helped our community
grow over the past three years.

A special shout-out to Kaxil, Shahar, Wei, Briana, Jens, and Jarek!
Each of you has played a part in helping our community grow, and it meant a
lot to us that you took the time to share your birthday wishes.

A huge thank you to Soo as well for supporting our community over the years
and helping make this event possible!

I've shared some photos and a recap of the event, along with a short
highlight video and the birthday messages we received.

I also tried using AI to edit the video, and it turned out pretty well!
Haha ๐Ÿ˜„

A huge thank you to everyone who sent us birthday messages and helped make
this celebration special!

Best,
Yeonguk

> Hi everyone!
> *Weโ€™re excited to invite you to the Apache Airflow Birthday Party in
> Seoul! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฅณ*
>
> *Why October 7?*
>
> October 7 marks the day of Airflowโ€™s first official commit! The beginning
> of what would eventually grow into the project and community we know today.
>
> Fun fact: it wasnโ€™t even called Airflow yet โ€” the project was still named
> *Flux*! ๐Ÿ‘€
>
> In Korea, parents often give their baby a temporary nickname before birth,
> called a *taemyeong* (ํƒœ๋ช…), before the baby gets their actual name.
>
> So, in a way, you could say *Flux was Airflowโ€™s **taemyeong*. ๐Ÿ˜„

> This year, the Apache Airflow Korea User Group is joining the celebration

>
> This event will be a little different from our usual meetups.
>
> Rather than focusing mainly on technical talks, weโ€™ll look back at how
> Airflow started and grew into the project and community it is today, share
> the story of how the Airflow community in Korea came together, and hear
> messages from people who have helped build Airflow along the way.
>
> And most importantly, since itโ€™s a birthday party, weโ€™re also planning to
> have some fun together! ๐ŸŽ‰

> *๐Ÿ“… Date:* Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 19:00โ€“21:00 KST

> Whether youโ€™ve been using Airflow for years, just started recently, or
> simply want to learn more about Airflow and its community, everyone is

>
> A little more party than meetup,
> a little more community than presentations.
>
> Letโ€™s celebrate Airflowโ€™s journey so far and create the next chapter

>
> See you at the party! ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ‰
