Hi all, I'm Daman Arora, pod leader for the MLH Fellowship's Fall 2026 open source track. Saying hello since we'll be around Airflow for the next few months.
Joel Emmanuel is our fellow on Airflow. It's his first time contributing to a project this big. He'll introduce himself separately. He's working on the system health dashboard, which follows on from the health endpoint work Andrew and Teghveer wrapped up in September: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://lists.apache.org/thread/l89kj1n485g3y0rkxzrbpv6yqowrv873&source=gmail&ust=1790895584439000&sa=E Dennis Ferruzzi is mentoring again. He's been doing this with MLH fellows for several cohorts, and this week he's already walked Joel through the architecture, how to contribute, and how decisions get made here. Worth saying out loud: that steady mentoring is why fellows end up doing real work on Airflow instead of one-off patches. We're starting with a design discussion rather than code, so expect a thread from Joel before any PR.
