Unfortunately, the Sun Basic book focuses on how to use Basic to access the OOo API, and does not fully specify the OOo Basic language. It is actually less comprehensive than the current OOo docs, which is as it should be.
Agreed.
Although I appreciate your efforts, I cannot possibly justify the cost of a commercial book as a specification for an open source project. While your book is an invaluable resource for OOo Basic programming techniques related to the OOo API, it cannot stand as an Open Source specification due to its commercial distribution.
Thought you might find it useful. You are correct that it is not the specification. I determined the behavior by reading source code and chatting with the developers and such. If you need it, it is there but it is indeed a commercial reference.
It appears that the answer to my question is: There is no OOo Basic language specification. The only definitive source for any questions about the OOo Basic language is the interpreter source code.
That is how I determined the behavior. :-)
