Only people with less OO experience would think so. Sun is doing very
good work and I would appreciate to be an employee of Sun!

A colleague of mine is starting with the OO API in Java. He thinks that
the API is complecated, too. At first I thought the same. But the
failure was, that I wanted to think the Java way and not the UNO way.
After I startet thinking the UNO way everything worked very well.

A wikipedia approach would not work for such a project. People often
think, a community is a bit self organizing. But for the project you
suggested, you would need an *excellent* project leader and software
architect if the project starts to grow.

Gerhard, there are already people thinking your way. But its a company:
.riess . They offer a Java UNO wrapper. I think this is a very good
solution for you.

Greetings, Tobias
