Hi Dietmar,

the API contains this info. You will find a lot of since tags in the generated reference documentation.

In your example it is a not yet published API and that is the probably reason why this tag is missing here. Using an unpublished API is possible but you have to take care that it can be change.

Anyway i agree that the since tag make sense for unpublished API's as well and we should take care of it. If unpublished API's change the since tag should be adapted as well.

And of course XDialogProvider2 is a perfect example where the unpublished flag is wrong if it is really in the office since 2.0.4

I would like to suggest that the API includes a hint, since which OOo
version it is available. It is well done in "struct ControlCommand", but
that is to my knowledge the only place.
Take for instance "interface XDialogProvider2" (here mentioned
"unpublished" but here
"http://api.openoffice.org/docs/DevelopersGuide/Components/Components.xhtml chapter
4.11" published with the hint that it is available since 2.0.4).

The background is that in the extension I can define the minimal OOo
version necessary. Even using SDK 2.3, the extension in this example
could be used since 2.0.4.
