Hello Bob! I am sorry Bob, I should have answered this the first time.
For the history, for a while I had a gerrit connection set up a few years back with a Jenkins that built and ran the tests. This was an attempt to allow persons preferring to work through gerrit. This was more or less a test running on one of my computers at home. Alas, when that computer crashed I didn't bother to set it up again on another one. At that point I used only git and an ad.hoc. repository mirroring the main svn repository for the purpose of allowing gerrit and there were a lot of problems with this. I learned a lot of things about git and gerrit though. There is really no reason to stick with the repositories on tigris for the source except for the work involved in performing the move and the hassle of spreading the project over several sites. I still consider making the move a big undertaking and because of my personal situation I am not ready to spend a lot of time doing this. If wanted, I could start working on a vision and a detailed plan on what needs to be done as a basis for further discussions on the resulting relationship between files at tigris.org and files at github and so that we don't forget anything.
