Hi Andrew Your git page looks very similar to the parallel discussion and will use JanusGraph by default - which for me works and starts up. Other people have got it working with Titan 0.5.4 but some have found that clearing out their local maven repo was necessary. I will probably try Titan 0.5.4 again later today if I have time.
One variation you might want to think about on the process is that I don't think you should need to pull in the sleepycat jar explicitly. It should come in via the graphdb if you are using berkeley - which by default you will be for UTs - but it is excluded by webapp/pom.xml (in the 'dist' profile). I think this was necessary with Titan 0.5.4 due to shading but there is no shading with Janus - we need to update the profiles (see ATLAS-2270 which may result in a general clean up) but in the meantime if you were to remove the exclusion you should get the sleepycat jar. It would be raising a JIRA for the documentation errors you spotted and it'd be interesting to known whether you still see the class not found when using the process on your git page. With regard to your question about raising a PR, the way the Atlas community works is by submitting a patch to the Review Board Tool, which is then reviewed and committed. This link describes the process: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/ATLAS/Using+Git+with+Atlas I think a slack channel would be good - I don't think there is one already. We are starting to use Atlas heavily starting this week and so I have 3-4 developers starting it up with that little setup. There are few documentation errors that I've found but I am able to start things up with that git page that I sent out ( https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_jahhulbert-2Dccri_graphy-2Dstuff_blob_master_atlas_doc_setup.md&d=DwIC-g&c=jf_iaSHvJObTbx-siA1ZOg&r=Li6zJa6pLsu8dGS1GSW1j00glumVmLp0H5HVkn5QyAA&m=uGYfCMWgjqaUXSk-wfUH1C8-hAbE5_UwnsqjMzDFkg8&s=7Kg4TFmvDsQMSNDLIqDMRHIqBI_vswfDuk3TXYdh7TE&e= ) which I think is very similar to what the discussion was. I'll try out your variant and let you know! All my setups are on Ubuntu, Centos7, and Amazon Linux. I was gonna PR the AtlasSetup class not found issue. Should I just make a ticket in JIRA for that? I PR'd something before but can't remember if I made the ticket or not. Also, is there something like a slack or gitter channel for Atlas? In general we're also exploring being more active in Atlas usage/development so any tips for that are welcome. We are using Atlas in a slightly different way than data governance but it's a really cool tool for a typed graph. Our usage is more like the employee database like this example: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_apache_atlas_blob_435fe3fbad0dbb41297cc7af7986d3062704d7ee_intg_src_test_java_org_apache_atlas_TestRelationshipUtilsV2.java&d=DwIC-g&c=jf_iaSHvJObTbx-siA1ZOg&r=Li6zJa6pLsu8dGS1GSW1j00glumVmLp0H5HVkn5QyAA&m=uGYfCMWgjqaUXSk-wfUH1C8-hAbE5_UwnsqjMzDFkg8&s=kl8ydAVZBR1oiHt7mrk6PTV0hPkTaXQgG71K8bUl1Zk&e= Cheers, Andrew On 11/29/2017 05:26 AM, Graham Wallis wrote: > Hi Andrew > > Not sure if you've been following the other dev thread with subject " > Instructions to build & run Atlas in dev environment", but that might > help.
