Can you put up a release candidate like I have been doing? That way we have time to debug the distributable (just in case something is missing that shouldn't be, etc.).
I am definitely +1 on a Phoenix release, I just want to make sure the release is nice.
Phoenix release candidate uploaded to :

Ok, here are my comments:
1) The bugfix http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13600 is not in the release. Don't know if it was meant to be, it's not a major issue for us, don't know about others.
2) http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16738 is a patch for the docs and could be applied.
3) excalibur-configuration-1.0.jar is new in the release, but the changes file doesn't say why - but I guess there must be some change to Phoenix, which needs this jar?
4) The changes file is generally not up to date, there is an entry, which just consists of a "?" and other entries state "backwards compatibility lost", but don't explain in what way. IMHO, even if the docs are in disarray, at least the changes file should be up to date for a release.
cheers,
Ulrich
