Generally speaking I'm in favour of removing the class. Just for reference - is this the only reference to framework? If we do remove the class we would need to bump the logkit version to 2.0 as this is a change that would break backward compatability.

If possible, I would suggest to remove the classes from LogKit as these two classes have a reference from the LogKit to the avalon-framework. Of course, the framework has references to the LogKit, so we end up with circular dependencies :(
