Niclas' #2 was so close ... Look, this is a really good idea. I have been following discussions both here and on the Depot lists. But I'd like to point out the use of language here, and how it effects perceptions. Depot is talked about as "them/they". Why? It is not a question of "Avalon Committers" gaining access to the Depot codebase --- it is a question of ASF Committers who wish to continue working on the repository codebase JOINING THE DEPOT COMMUNITY. The ASF is not a collection of cloistered abbies. There is no clause in your CLA that chains you to one project or another.
