Your participation is appreciated. What is not appreciated are the grandiose claims of backward incompatibility, violation of trust, deliberate abandonment, etc., etc. Not exactly the language that fosters the collaboration that your seeking.
No claim I made was intended to be grandiose. I did make a claim about compatibility issues, and I stand by that claim. The rest is not claims, but feelings, perceptions, generally worrying about stuff.
I totally understand you don't like to hear that someone is dissapointed in what you're doing and thinks you're doing things badly. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't listen!
To resolve to mudslinging is the easy way out. I don't want to be a part of that, and I certainly don't want to be targetted by it.
