Although the download directory listing shows 3 folders, it's not particularly
obvious which one to download.
You could add a README.html file with a bit more detail. This will show up at
the bottom of the page.
Perhaps turn the existing README.txt into HTML?
However, it really would be better to provide more information on the download
page.
At present that is quite difficult to read, and there is no information on how
to verify the integrity of files [2]
The Accumulo download page [3] is very clear on what releases are active, and
has a link to describe how to verify releases.
It uses links which directly download the archives, rather than requiring the
user to navigate the download listing.
It would be better if it included individual hashes as done by Camel [4]
There are plenty of other examples.
