Hi all, Since the required website restructuring and Flink documentations / upgrades are completed, I think we should now push for a first release for Apache Bahir Flink extensions.
There is some discussion going on about some more follow-up updates to the website. As of the current state where a release for Flink extensions isn’t yet available, some information is confusing for users (see [1]). Although I do have a PR [2] to address the discussions, but IMHO, with bahir-flink already ready for releasing, it will be a much more straightforward approach to push out the Bahir release for Flink ASAP. What do you think? We could probably help with the process of kicking this off, but ultimately we would need a Bahir PMC to finalize and package the release. Cheers, Gordon [1] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BAHIR-90 [2] https://github.com/apache/bahir-website/pull/10 On March 1, 2017 at 6:13:04 PM, Robert Metzger ([email protected]) wrote: I would like to revive the 1.0 release discussion for bahir-flink. I have to admit that I didn't have enough time to do the first release last year. I've asked Gordon (CC, committer at Flink) to help me fixing the documentation and upgrading Bahir to Apache Flink 1.2.0. Once that is done we can start creating the first bahir-flink release (in my opinion). Regarding the actual release creation process, I guess it makes sense to adopt this script: https://github.com/apache/bahir/blob/master/dev/release-build.sh for "bahir-flink"?
