This is a great start. We've got people on the dev list, talking about tasks, and just getting stuff done. (You've heard the 'community over code' mantra already, but 'just do it' is another. Get stuff done, and if you make a mistake, we can fix it.)
It might be useful to use the bug-tracking system to track tasks. Someone can enter the tasks, and the committers can assign tasks to themselves when they start work. What do you think? By the way, there's no need to stop working on code. Carry on working on PRs, or whatever. Maybe there will be a freeze on merging PRs for a few days when we're ready to move the code into the ASF git. But let's keep up the project momentum as we transition. If you want an idea for tasks, there is an incubation status template [1] and I'm just about to copy it so that it appears on the incubator site [2]. I would divide the tasks into administration, code, and marketing. On the marketing side, it's important to get a basic website up and running [3]. In my opinion, a twitter account for the project is critical. The biggest task is the first release. (It's a larger task than you can imagine, because we need to deal with things like licensing, key signing, tar balls, and votes. But it's a good opportunity for the community to work together.) I'll start another thread about the kickoff meeting, and the first release will be a major discussion at that meeting.
