A followup to my post the other day about access to cvs for prototyping:

It seems that what the Sun developer in question has in mind is to actually prototype adding support for the new citation coding that has been approved for OpenDocument, which is really at the center of what we need to do. As he explains it:

Implementing the new citation element in xmloff (the module --- stands
for XmlOffice and not Xml off :-)) is an routine task. I want to do it
together with your programmer, so that he can learn how xmloff works.

Here's the problem, however: this works needs to happen in C++, and he indicated such a developer would need "strong" skills in the language.

I don't really think we have anyone with those qualifications anymore, but if someone out there does and is interested, or knows someone who might be, let David and I know please.

We may have to advertise for this sort of help, because this is a nice opportunity here to work with a Sun engineer on this and came some experience.
