Thanks a lot for the patch and everything! I really appreciate it as well.
Regarding Apache Flume integration, I installed CDK/Kite in the
/usr/lib/flume-ng/plugins.d/cdk/libext and Apache Flume was happy. There was no
need to edit any file or any config since the directory is picked up
automatically.
So what about a flume-kite package which depends on flume-ng and sets up
everything under /usr/lib/flume-ng/plugins.d/kite/libext? We can look into
this later on after this ticket is resolved.
