Konstantin Boudnik commented on BIGTOP-1411:
--------------------------------------------
I think Martin's point is about packaging all the dependencies that are needed:
e.g. hadoop jars and all that kind of stuff, so that once the test package is
installed nothing else needs to be downloaded from the internet. I guess it is
somewhat similar to fatjar that we are building now.
> Create packaging for Smoke Tests

> Key: BIGTOP-1411

> Project: Bigtop
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: debian, rpm, tests
> Affects Versions: 0.8.0
> Reporter: jay vyas
>
> Now that we have a single directory for the smoke tests, it would be cool if
> we could have them yum installable , so that anyone can simply do "yum
> install bigtop-smoke-tests", and then they have our smoke tests sitting right
> there in their system.
> Im not a packaging expert, but if someone wants to outline how this should be
> done properly, maybe i can give it a try.
