Konstantin Boudnik commented on BIGTOP-1411:
--------------------------------------------
bq. What is the use case where nothing needs to be downloaded from the
internet?
It'd be a case where I need to validate a cluster that I just installed from
the binary packages. Otherwise, I'd need to clone the repo, do some gradle/mvn
with deps. pulling and all that jazz.
> Create packaging for Smoke Tests

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: debian, rpm, tests
> Affects Versions: 0.8.0

> Now that we have a single directory for the smoke tests, it would be cool if
> we could have them yum installable , so that anyone can simply do "yum
> install bigtop-smoke-tests", and then they have our smoke tests sitting right
> there in their system.
> Im not a packaging expert, but if someone wants to outline how this should be
> done properly, maybe i can give it a try.
