looks pretty good.
several comments need addressing i think, and merge conflicts.
i've tried resolving the merge conflicts at
https://github.com/ahgittin/incubator-brooklyn/tree/more-persist-with-multiple-threads
but i missed something because `RebindEnricherTest` and `RebindPolicyTest` are
failing. still it might be useful.
