These are all *great* suggestions. I like the option of making the protocol erm
pluggable. I guess the replicator would need some changes, but I can imagine a
number of cloudy firms liking the idea of a cheaper (in a less-bits sense)
inter-site replication. And depending on the effort for unpacking it on the
client side, this would be a huge + for tablets, phones, or mobile data plans.
