Franck Eyraud commented on COUCHDB-907:
---------------------------------------
Hello,
Thanks for your comments, and thanks Brian to have a look at it.
OK, I understand it happens to be more complicated that it seemed. At some
point I wanted a temporary configuration with 2 listening IP addresses, thought
it was possible, had problems, found this issue, realized it wasn't possible,
and thought "what a pity!".
I don't need it now, I understand that there are several ways to overcome the
problem (if there would be a server-level replication possibility, one could
use several couchdb instances also).
I think it is a very important feature if it is easy to implement, and a non
essential one, as Brian says, if it is very complicated.

> It would be useful to be able to configure couchdb to listen to multiple ip
> addresses in addition to one and all interfaces.
> See http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.db.couchdb.user/7050 for such a
> request.
