Thats what we are using right now, set to 5 per IP as I mentioned in my
previous mail. I looked over the logs and it shows that around 5% of
our average 250,000 hits per day are getting 503 service not available. I

I have to agree that 5% is a small percentage of 250.000 hits per day. I
have the feeling, though, that the absolute number (let's say, 12.500)
might still mean a significant of users that are suffering. I'm not in
any way saying that you don't do your best of course, being the only
mirror in that huge country. We are very happy about your valued
contribution. Let's be clear on that.
Looking at our logs, I think you get considerably less OOo download
requests since I narrowed the selection criteria. I hope that that has
helped. I also hope that the German mirrors work okay for the other
users. It looked so in the past.
We will do our very best.
Peter, what are the mirrobrain scores for ftp3, ftp4, ftp5.gwdg.de?
I guess there is some "Luft" (air).
