I have an issue open about the ddSSHGuide.html, and I have been capturing comments from these threads for it.

Diane, here's some more comments from me, in response to Daniel's suggestions.

But I *will* suggest the general form the rewrite should take:
1st: The page should be divided into: - Instructions for Unix and Linux. - Instructions for Windows. - Instructions for Mac.
2nd: Each of those should be divided into 2 subsections: - Getting Setup. - Editing the website.
Is there any difference between platforms in editing the website? If not, then one set of instructions should suffice for that part.
For the sake of illustration, I have written a sample "getting setup" section for Unix. All the sections should follow a similar format. Jean, I would love to hear your thoughts on it:

I think your approach on the getting setup instructions is very good. Just one question: are there any platform-specific difference in the bits on "Submit your public key" and "Write to the list with the following information" (items 3 and 4 in your instructions)? If not, then one set of instructions for those topics should suffice.
(Steps 1 and 2, "Generate an SSH key" and "Locate your public key" are definitely platform-specific, but I think 3 and 4 are not.)
If my assumptions on common vs platform-specific information are correct, how about this as an alternative outline:
GETTING SETUP
Intro
1) Generate an SSH key (include step on locating the public key)
- Instructions for Unix and Linux.
- Instructions for Windows.
- Instructions for Mac.2) Submit your public key.
3) Write to the list with the following information
EDITING THE WEBSITE
