This issue falls into the category of issues that Scott asks me not to
complain about. First, I rec'd a phone call, even though I did not
give permission for that. I don't believe that I must have phone
conversations with folks to perform opensource work. To me, that is
going to personal. I'm not here for the personal aspect. I prefer to
keep things all business. That seems perfectly fair.
I am sorry you felt that way, I didn't know. At the time it seemed
there were several things getting confused and I wanted to speak
directly about them, to see if we could come to an agreed solution.

When the script was completed, ALL faqs now had navigation links
pointing to faqs 001.html and 003.html. This required a huge amount of
rework. I was left to do it on my own. I did it, and I did not
complain about it. I did make the error public, so that we could all
jump in to fix it, if we wished. No one wished, and that was ok. You
are right, there is no issue with it by itself.
I was not aware how much of a task this was going to be at the time.
Sorry for not realizing this. The faqs do look great now, btw.
Add it to the others, and it feels like interference. Add it to
comments like, "if you don't like it, or need control, go in and fix
it yourself", and it feels like interference. For this issue in
particular, I had to stop my mission to address this one, because we
now had files on the site, ready for user visits, and they were all
filled with not well behaved navigation links. This made the rework
pretty high priority. I felt obliged to fix it for the user base. It
would have been kinda encouraging to have the leaders more aware and
involved with this issue at the time, but I did pick the quietly
effective route, and just did the work.
Again, sorry, for not realizing how big of a task this was at the time.
I would have provided more help if I'd have known.
As Scott pointed out, this type of thing is expected and we should not
complain about them, as we are all busy people. He is right, yet this
is an example that has added to the frustration that I've allowed to
build. I admit, there are things in me that I must fix about my view
point, to feel better about these types of occurrences.
