On another topic, what is the SOP for submitting copyediting of the
User's Guide (issue 29679)? Both the original Chapter 1 (from 11 March;

numerous errors, even though this chapter is only one-page long (four
short paragraphs).
Numerous errors? I think that we have a different view of how to
construct a document. So I kept some of mine and some of yours and ...
Thanks.
I'll say...
If not "numerous," I'd venture to state that its error rate was rather
high, considering that (a) the Overview was only one measly page in
length and (b) its errors were highly obvious--so much so that (i) they
shouldn't have been there in the first place and (ii) shouldn't have
lingered these past 3+ months w/o correction. Besides, my command of
English is at least a tad better. :-)
I'm currently into Chapter 2. However, I'll leave reporting its
copyediting for another time. [Besides, it's late, and I have other fish
to fry.] But, I'll say for now that one of its tables (pp. 5-6) had
horribly misaligned, overlapping entries. And the paragraph before it
has both 12pt and 10pt font sizes, for some reason or another. There are
more errors, but they're more of the proofreading variety. I'm using XP
Pro, in case we're using differing OSs.
