You just made me realize that I really don't even notice the difference anymore unless I get into a co-editing situation. I do compose with U.S. spellings though. I don't see an issue here. The spellings are not so different that they slow even a non-familiar reader down much, I suspect. And if anything, they stress the international effort that goes into OOo. Best, Marbux
