What Alex said and I do not think you need the JCA. Scott? The reason I am unsure, is that most of our contributors are JCA signatories because they have commit responsibilities with other projects. If you want to have something published while we wait, please ping me and I will do it.
Not the same Alex, but I'll butt in anyway, sorry ;-) I seem to remember that you could only get "content developer status" if you had signed the JCA, but that was way back, so things might have changed since then.
The extra plus with signing the JCA : you get to see your name added to the list of contributors in the version info using the Ctrl-SDT key combo - now there's an incentive !!!
