Of course this list should include WorldLabel and its label formats
- but this might be quite easy - just file an issue giving the
appropriate informations.
No. What I am saying is that we have sponsors who support OOo
directly. I feel that their products should take precedence over
other manufacturers who are not contributing or sponsoring. SO the
idea is taht if these latter entities wish to continue to receive the
current status they should contribute in someway, as in financial or
other way, or be supplanted by those entities/companies that do
support OOo directly.
Thanks for your explanation - now I understand your idea.
That Avery starts with "a" is immaterial to the discussion.
As you only mentioned Avery, not Herlitz, Herma, Leitz, Sigel and
Zweckform, I thought it to be a special case with Avery.
WRT your idea:
I don't want OpenOffice.org to become dependent on sponsoring.
On most of our web pages sponsoring is not allowed - and inside the
product it shouldn't be placed at all.
If you and others think this to be a good idea, you might discuss it
with the marketing people on [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
From my POV this would have quite a negative impact on OOo's stand in
public: We all know about the concerns WRT our dependency of Sun. The
only place where Sun is mentioned is the splash screen (for Sun builds).
I don't want to answer even more questions about our independence. There
are places where we can present sponsors, but not inside the product
(IMHO of course).
Nothing against you, Russell...
Best regards
Bernhard
