That is exact the way we work on the German team. We use oooauthors.org as working place an publish the results on de.openoffice.org. > > The guides currently being written at OOoAuthors are under a Creative > Commons license, but that does not prevent other documents being written > there under other licenses. Pardon me, but this is not right.
Remember, the document's are now under dual license GPL+CC-BY http://oooauthors.org/authors-license.odt and the oooauthors.org members gave the OpenOffice.org project the right to publish the documents under PDL too: http://user-faq.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=authors&msgNo=8939 In other case we could not publish the documents on de.openoffice.org. > > So, for example, the various chapters of the User Guide could be moved > to OOoAuthors for working on. Since we use the oooauthors.org stuff we have a lot a new volunteers for the docu job. Most of them are members/developers of OOo and oooauthors.org. In the past we had many enthusiastic new members starting work on docu and then gave up because they want/can't use the OOo stuff like cvs and so on. This way we lost a lot of manpower for the documentation project! Let us accept that there are different kind of people. And in fact we have only a very small team for the Docu and translation job. We could not ignore the will of one good translator or author who is not willing to use our stuff. We have to give them a workplace whenever - wherever because we need them, they don't need us! > > --Jean Regards Marko --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
