GUI) or "screenshots" or something else? I am unsure what problem you

I mean the toolbar buttons from the GUI. Their size should be adapted to
the letter size.
I'm sure you are correct, but there is a problem with that. The icon images are
generally derived from screenshots at 72 dpi, and scaling them down invariably
results in loss of resolution, producing unacceptable image quality.
Now, if we had access to the original vector (presumably??) icon images in a
useful format, such as SVG....
