"You might want to mention the preferred way of using aptitude. The
command would be “aptitude remove openoffice.org*” "(page 11 of 53)

Aptitude is one of many package managers for Debian based Linux
distributions. You can also use Synaptic for example. apt-get is
available in all cases, and is the "lowest common denominator" just as
rpm at the command line is in RPM based distributions.

If we were to mention Aptitude and Synaptic for DEBs, then we would need
to think about yum, zypper, YaST and a myriad of other implementations
of RPM package managers.

Other options that I have seen administrators request information about
are SELECT_WORD=1 SELECT_EXCEL=1 SELECT_POWERPOINT=1 ADDLOCAL=ALL
REMOVE=gm_o_Onlineupdate,gm_o_Quickstart ALLUSERS=1  (page 12 of 53)

Nice info to have. I will pass this by the engineer responsible for
this docs and try to have it included.

Though we briefly talk about the extension manager below, the person
installing would like to know how to automate the process during
install. (page 14 of 53)

Hmmm good point. This will need to be researched - I don't know what
the best methods are to automate the process.

Is there a particular reason not to identify that the person installing
can also use the MSI file with the option REMOVE=gm_o_Quickstart (page
35 of 53)

I don't know of any particular reason. I can ask the engineer
responsible for providing the OXT files.

The rest of your comments and edits will be added, clarified, changed,
or not changed :-) in the Wiki source.
