Hi, I have several JIRAs regarding metadata I worked on recently and would like to see resolved before 1.9:
- DRILL-1268: Add unit test to C++ native client - DRILL-4853: Update C++ protobuf source files - DRILL-4420: C++ API for metadata access and prepared statements - DRILL-1996: Add cancel method to Drill C++ connector Those changes are all part of PR #602 ( https://github.com/apache/drill/pull/602) and have been reviewed by Parth. - DRILL-4730: Update JDBC DatabaseMetaData implementation to use new Metadata APIs This is PR #613 (https://github.com/apache/drill/pull/613), and is waiting for some reviews - DRILL-4945: Report INTERVAL exact type as column type name This is PR #618 (https://github.com/apache/drill/pull/618), and is waiting for some reviews - DRILL-4969: Basic implementation of display size for column metadata This is PR #632 (https://github.com/apache/drill/pull/632), and is waiting for some reviews Cheers, Laurent On Fri, Oct 28, 2016 at 5:14 PM, Parth Chandra <[email protected]> wrote: > +1 on doing a release. > > I'm hoping the following get a +1 : > > DRILL-4800 - Improve parquet reader performance > DRILL-3423 - Add New HTTPD format plugin > DRILL-4858 - REPEATED_COUNT on JSON containing an array of maps > > Specifically what did you want to discuss about the release number after > 1.9?
